Resources for Student Referrals

In Student Affairs, we collaborate with campus and community stakeholders, including Faculty and Program colleagues, to foster student potential by supporting the whole student and their well-being. We invite you to share the resources on this page with the students you connect with where appropriate.

Student Case Management (SCM)

SCM provides support to students throughout their time at university, providing resources to manage issues as well as crisis prevention and intervention for students who may be experiencing difficulty on campus.

Student Wellness Centre (SWC)

The SWC offers short-term counselling to address immediate needs and same-day single-session appointments for pressing concerns, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

  • Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 
  • Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Spiritual Care and Learning Centre (SCLC)

The SCLC is an open, safe space that supports all religious, secular and spiritual identities (RSSI). You can contact the SCLC leaders individually or drop by the office in MUSC 212.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS)

SAS provides academic accommodations and related supports for students with disabilities at McMaster. Contact SAS for accommodations and support.

Student Success Centre (SSC): International and Exchange Student Experience (IESE)

IESE offers in-person drop-in appointments:

  • Mondays and Thursdays: 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays and Fridays: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

International and exchange students can email iese@mcmaster.ca to arrange a personal one-on-one appointment. Appointments are confidential and take place in a welcoming, safe environment.

Student Success Centre (SSC): Writing and Academic Skills

The SSC provides writing and academic skills support for students at any level of study. This includes services, programs and events related to key areas, such as reading, writing and studying.
